Services for Shelter Residents:
Partnered with trained staff or volunteers, residents recieve: Food, personal care items, career/clothing closet, Victims Compensation assistance, financial assistance, transportation assistance, personalized short and long term goal setting, medical/dental/optical/mental health referrals and assistance, life skills training, employment and housing assistance, as well as innovative, alternative health options.

24 Hour/7 Days a Week Crisis Hotline
Trained staff and volunteers provide a caring ear to listen for issues including but not limited to: domestic abuse and safety planning, suicide counseling, and referrals to local resources for basic needs (food, clothing, rent and utility assistance).

Safe Pets
Pets are family. Volunteer foster homes or local boarding facilities are available for short term stays for pets to help keep families together. Many people will not leave an abusive situation for fear that their pets may be injured or killed to get back at them. The Crisis Center keeps all the family members safe.

Volunteer Program
With a very small staff and limited financial resources, volunteers are critical to keeping the Crisis Center running and for providing quality, caring services to the shelter residents and hotline callers. Our volunteers include our Board of Directors, office support, fundraisers, and pet foster care.
