Mountain Peace Shelter is excited to have celebrated our 20th Anniversary of providing shelter, safety and 24/7 crisis support for our entire mountain community! We have much to be grateful for and to celebrate!

The Park County Crisis Center was voted Best Nonprofit Organization 2006 by the readers of the Mountain Connection for our entire mountain community (Bailey, Conifer, Evergreen)!

Established in 1986, the Park County Crisis Center, Inc. is a private 501 (c) (3) non-profit agency. We are not a government agency and are funded by grants and private donations, both in-kind and cash.

There are no other shelters within a 50 mile radius, with the closest being in Denver. Our service area includes but is not limited to: Park County, Mountain Jefferson County, and surrounding mountain counties.

Our services are confidential. We work closely with other agencies (Victim Advocate Program, Department of Human Services, and Sheriff's Office), local churches and community organizations to ensure that the client's needs are met.
