Last Updated: July 8,2007
| The Park County Crisis Center/Mountain Peace Shelter's mission is to create a continuum of care from violence prevention to crisis intervention to empowering self-sufficiency, through community outreach, a 24 hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, and supportive services for the residents of Park County and surrounding mountain communities.
A website designed to evaluate one's stress level and learn techniques to deal with the associated stress of any trauma.
The Park County Crisis Center was voted Best Nonprofit Organization 2006 by the readers of the Mountain Connection for our entire mountain community (Bailey, Conifer, Evergreen)! Established in 1986, the Park County Crisis
Center, Inc. is a private 501 (c) (3) non-profit agency. We are not a
government agency and are funded by grants and private donations, both
in-kind and cash.
There are no other shelters within a 50 mile radius, with the closest
being in Denver. Our service area includes but is not limited to: Park
County, Mountain Jefferson County, and surrounding mountain counties.
Our services are confidential. We work closely with other agencies
(Victim Advocate Program, Department of Human Services, and Sheriff's
Office), local churches and community organizations to ensure that the
client's needs are met.
